CARE OF YOUR NEW WOODEN OBJECT

Wood is organic and reacts to its environment. If it is left in water or with water inside of it all wooden things will absorb the water and then there is a real danger of cracking when they dry out again. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR NEW PURCHASE IN WATER OR WITH LIQUIDS INSIDE OF IT.
The finish on this product is a natural mix of oil and wax.
Care for the product as follows:
a. If it is for food then clean it lightly in warm water and wipe
dry. From time to time wipe it down with whatever oil you use
for salads.
b. If it is not for food then from time to time polish it with
a good furniture polish or wax. I use a good uncolored shoe wax
on those objects which will not be in contact with food. You may
also buy my special wax.
With careful use and a little maintenance your bowl, candleholder, tray or other piece will still be functional and lovely for your grand children. Remember, wood darkens with age and use. It is normal and expected.
